day trip at the beach

After a stressful week, Ivan and I joined the Day Trip Summer Outing of our company. He picked me up at five freaking o'clock so that we can board the bus for Subic (leaving Eastwood at 5:30am.)

We made it with barely enough time to buy my babe a slurpee. We were able to take the first bus out to Subic, together with two of his cubemates, and their families.

After three hours of butt aching journey, we arrived at the destination eager to hit Ocean Adventure. Once in, we were welcomed by the very nice view of the sea and mountain landscape.

Welcome to Ocean Adventure

We had free AM snacks (I have to say that the food in Clark was soooo much better!) and headed to the Aquarium shortly after. The fishies and under water creaters were great! The sea lion show was even better!

We decided to skip the Dolphin show to hit Camayan beach. We were able to get ourselves a cabana since most of the folks were still at the Sea Lion and Dolphin Shows. There we reserved for the rest of Ivan's group mates. By the end of the afternoon, most of the 18th floor folks were there.

I had such a great time with Ivan and his group. I soooo look forward to spending more outings with him (and them!)

sing trip photos (part2)

The next day, my family went around town using the different forms of public transport. We started off by riding a SIA bus around the city that was SG$3 for the whole day with unlimited rides, a privilege of riding Singapore Airlines.

It was on our third day that we decided to hit the Zoo and Sentosa in one shot. Though they were at different ends of the country, traveling wasn't all that bad. It did, however, caused us not to checkout the Night Safari and tour the Zoo in 2.5hours!

In the four days that we were at Singapore, it rained in the afternoon. About 1 hour or so, but it rained really hard. So it was unfortunate that we didn't get to go around Sentosa that much because of the rain.

Maybe in my next trip, I get to go around Sentosa and the Night Safari. I believe it actually pays to see these places at least once in your life.

sing trip photos (part1)

From April 1 to 4, my family, my aunt, and cousin took a trip to Singapore via Singapore Airlines. We left the house at 5am to be at the airport, in time for our 8:15am flight. While killing time, Angie and I took some photos of everyone taking the trip.

The plane was pretty new and really nice. We had a TV in front, with sitcoms, movies, and games. I got the chance to watch Rumor Has It and the ending of Family Stone. I wanted to hit on the free liquor in the plane but I knew I had a long day ahead of me. So I controlled myself, I promised that on the trip home, I'm getting soused! =)

Everything in Singapore is walking distance if you live in the City. Fortunately for us, we got bumped off in our Hotel in Newton and they transferred us to Queens Street, which was pretty much 20minutes away from everywhere else.

Alvin, a friend I met in my trip to the U.K., arrived at the hotel even before I did. He picked me and my cousin up to bring us to Funan IT Mall, where I spent most of my money with the bilins I have. First stop on was the famous Chijmes, once a Convent of the Holy Infant of Jesus, now a place that could rival Eastwood or Greenbelt Areas.

We didn't see much of the nice cars that Alvin mentioned parked there because we came by during the day. Besides, there was a wedding scheduled on the Gallery later on that day.

By the time Alvin and I finished doing our IT shopping, it was almost 6pm. We brought the stuff back to the hotel and started off walking to Suntec City, where I would be hanging out with Mel and Rick, my classmates from AITI.
