1.50€ per hour

I'm sitting in an internet cafe, paying 1.50€ per hour, typing in the most unfamiliar keyboard I've ever tried.

Simply put the z's and y's are reversed, not counting the rigodon of symbols. So, if I were to type normally, it would come out like this:

I am now in Frankfurt, Germanz, sitting in an internet cafe with mz husband bz mz side. It#s absolutelz crayz.

It takes a very good deal of effort finding the right keys and reading what I have already typed.

In a lighter note, we are headed to Paris this coming weekend. Hopefully, we'd get to go back to Switzerland for the Geneva Motor Show. However, that would mean he would have to take a day off work. I asked permission from my husband if I could take a trip to Spain on my own to visit an aunt, who I never knew existed until recently. This all depends on how expensive the train tickets are going to be.

Germany is great. Europe, in general, is wonderful. Despite the very big difference in climate, I am basking in the ambiance of history. Imagine being in Europe when Kosovo is celebrating their independence.

I can imagine us living here for a long time.

The word of the day is tae.

I dunno why all the conversation leaned towards sh*t, but my husband and Sieg really hit it off with each other. I guess they have that much obscenity in common.

Four hours after arriving in Germany, my husband and I headed towards the train station to go to Brugg, Switzerland. We arrived some 5 hours later and met up with Sieg at Platform 1, Section C.

I am currently enduring dealing with the cold. From 32 degrees Celsius to 1 degree, it was too much for my Filipino skin to handle. I haven't had much sleep since I left Manila Friday night and we're traveling back to Frankfurt in two hours.

Tomorrow, I plan to sleep in. For the mean time, attached are the pics from Sieg's camera.

I'm here in Dubai waiting for my flight to Frankfurt, Germany.

Wi-fi is free, which is a good thing I brought the laptop. The three hours stopover would be boring me. More so when I fly back home, I have five hours to kill!

So far, I have managed to check my email. Messaged Sieg that we'll be arriving Switzerland on Saturday night. Hopefully he gets the message because stupid me, I didn't get his number nor his address.

I do have the 2 reams of Winston Lights I promised him. Hehehe =)

It seems that Dubai is a hub for Asia and Europe. There are a lot of flights and people sleeping on the floor him. I so badly want to take a snapshot to post here but I feel slightly shy doing so. They are like homeless people sitting on the street, just like I am homeless person wi-fing on the street. =)

In seven hours, I will be seeing my husband. Can't wait.

on my own

For the past 16 days I've been living on my own in the condo, save for two nights at my parents' house.

My husband is in Germany and I will be following by February 16.

I'm somewhere between being ok to be alone (cause I never experienced it) to missing my husband so much. After being married for one month and ten days, he left to train. I know it's for work and it will be better for his career, but I have a hard time convincing myself. I have a harder time convincing him that.

He's actually a bit better now compared to the first week he arrived. I think he's beginning to enjoy himself. He's even excited that I'm arriving in less than 2 weeks time.

To bring the post to a happier note, we fixed the condo prior to moving in.

I now have...

a yellow living room

an orange kitchen

a green bathroom

and

a blue bedroom.

I don't feel so alone in the home we have since I have very colorful surroundings. The major furnitures are pretty complete already, save for some.

Things to buy in the future includes:

1. living room table
2. night table
3. full length mirror (I use the elevator mirrors to check myself out each day.)

Married life is still surreal for me. Given that we lived in my parents house after we got married and only lived in the condo together for less than a week, I normally ask people to defer the question until such time we lived together for two months straight.
