4800++ pictures

After going through four thousand eight hundred plus plus pictures, we have finally finished our first pass. Four DVDs and three trips to the film center, we have our initial choices.

This brought the number down to 1,200++ pictures. We have to bring it down to only 140 pictures for the wedding album. Given that we had to carefully choose less than 3% of the total number of pictures, I decided to have those that we filtered out to be printed.

Quite frankly, the 1,200 pictures could easily P8,400.00 at P7.00 per picture. Luckily, the Fuji Film in Marquinton offered a privilege card that brought the cost to P5.00 per picture. That saved me more or less P2,000. With the savings and all, I don't think we can put monetary value to the memory each and every picture reminds us of.

I knew that it was a worthwhile investment to have them all printed, given that I'd only see barely a fraction on my wedding album. We just finished having them printed yesterday. Today, we started to put them in order and placed them in 5 albums (so far.)

Hopefully, we'll be able to complete choosing 140 pictures soon so that Lito Perez can start working on the album. We're supposed to get it a month after we submit the pics.

I guess Ivan won't be able to see our wedding album until he gets back from Germany. Unless, I bring it to him in February. In a way, it will be a nice surprise for him.

I'm still waiting for photobucket to finish the pictures I'm uploading. Musgt be busy due to the New Year's Eve Internet traffic. Update this post in a bit.

We have yet to receive the wedding pictures from the photographer but a good friend of ours sent what she took in her camera.

heaven in shangrila

This my first time in Cebu. People recommended to check in at Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa and so I did. I thought it was a bit pricey, but what the heck, even if its just for one night. After all, it is our honeymoon.

To be honest with you, this post would sound like an unpaid advertisement for the resort.


One word that I can think of to describe our stay here is... PERFECT.

Our one night stay turned to two nights and it feels it's still not enough. I honestly don't want to go home.

We stayed at the Ocean Wing, where we are at the staying at the Ocean Club Floor. Love it. Love it. Love it.


Albeit the room costs more than the others, we have certain privileges that are not available to all guests, like:

• Free wi-fi at the lounge (although family and friends are questioning why we're online on our honeymoon)
  
• Free drinks and snacks during the day (drink all you can soda, coffee, and eat all you can lays, cashews, etc.)
  
• Free cocktails from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, where we had vodka among other things.
  

The view from the room is the beach and it's so wonderful to overlook that and the rest of the landscape.

The bed was perfect (in more ways than one). The Ipod speakers in the room proved to be useful when we started playing tunes. The food was delightful. What's more I was able to poop more than once in the hotel.

For those people who really know me, that's a very big thing! I thought I would go for days without the trip to the bathroom, but Shangri-La proved to be very homey in that aspect.


I love the very relaxing atmosphere that the resort offered. I love the staff who are very nice and friendly. There was this one guy at Acqua wherein I thanked him out of habit and he said, "It is my pleasure to be of service."

That is absolutely something that I don't hear (or see) everyday. People here take their jobs with pride and their service is impeccable.

I can't wait to go back here. As Joshua, the front desk guy said, he hopes to see us with junior Ivans and Cecils.

For the past couple of days, my friends have been texting me, "So, how does it feel to be married?"

Quite frankly, I don't know yet.

Everything is surreal. I don't even remember every minute of my wedding. Everything just passed in a blur. All I can remember is that everything went well, people enjoyed and said the whole ceremony and reception were wonderful, and even the weather cooperated. Thank God for the sunny day, considering that it rained the day after exactly during the time of the reception!

We're now at Shangrila Mactan having our honeymoon and I still do a double take when people call me Mrs. Eusebio.

As if it's not me.

It actually takes an effort for me to call Tita Pauline and Tito Ed "Mom" and "Dad" respectively, immediately after the ceremony.

As if the past two years of calling them that will automatically be changed as Word would when you do a find and replace.

I'm getting used to it.

The easiest thing to actually get used to is sleeping with the man I love and waking up the next day with him by my side. I'm getting used to the man snoring beside me and fluffing his pillow just so that it wouldn't be so loud to wake me up every couple of minutes.

It is a bit eerie that our parents know what we're doing here in Cebu. Hahaha :)) It's a bit weird that everyone (including our friends) expects us to see four walls only and find it unbelievable that we're online right now.

Oh shoot! I still have to change signatures. I wonder what that would look like.

15 hours

In 15 hours, I will be walking down the aisle.

Obviously, I can't sleep, wondering how today will be.

I'm sure it will be the most memorable day of my life.

I just hope and pray that it won't rain.

personal vows

From him to me:

Cecil, I have never met anyone quite like you. You fill my life with love and joy. You accept me for who I am, faults and all. With you I can see the next steps of my life very clearly because I know you will be there with me all the way.

here comes the bride

I can hear the wedding bells ringing more loudly than ever. Six more days and I will be walking down the aisle to be with the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.

We have been finishing all the wedding details. The last minute list is getting shorter, but I'm apprehensive about the next few days. I keep thinking I'm forgetting some things.

*sigh*

I didn't get to be the bridezilla I imagined myself to be. It's probably the years in me talking, but I think I've mellowed down. Or maybe you should ask my Maid of Honor or Citibank COncierge, I may have been bridezilla in some occasions.

As for my husband-to-be-in-the-next-six-days, I think he's as cool headed as any groom can be. For all the things I'm venting to him about, he always keeps a level-head and pointing out that things are not as bad as they seem to be.

He made me promise that no matter how bad things go during our wedding, I will keep a smile on my face and think about the days after the wedding, when we will spend the rest of our lives together.

Isn't he the bestest husband I could ever have?
